Created from 2mm natural un-dyed veg tanned leather hide

Each panel is dyed by hand, cut, moulded & sculptured to shape to the body

After assembly each panel is ‘burnt’ by hand to create the finished antiqued effect

adjustable corsetry lacing closure at centre back

Dyeing the Burnt Brown Colour: 

The dyeing process is completed by hand.

Several layers of hand burnishing techniques are used to create the deep natural shades of this colour.

The colour is designed to enhance the natural characteristic of the leather.

For the Burnt brown colour, we use 5 shades of dye & then several darker tones up to the final layer of burnished black.

Clusters of 3-D sculptured silk butterflies adorn the leather torso.

Creating the Embroidered Silk Butterflies:

The silk butterflies are created by using free machine embroidery & cut out by hand.

The machine needle is the ink & pen & the flow of the ‘butterfly’ is 100% free drawn’ Steph Aman
